Your order and payment

These terms cover the UKSOL Duo 890 kit bought for personal use through this store. Business purchases require separately agreed terms. Orders and these terms are in English. You can check the product, fitting option, quantity, contact details and delivery address before the final payment button. Contact us promptly if an order contains an error.

Placing the order using the final payment button is an obligation to pay the total shown. Payment is taken through the payment methods available in Shopify checkout. An order acknowledgement confirms receipt; our acceptance email confirms the contract. We will promptly tell you if we cannot accept an order, including because the address is outside the offer, and refund any payment in full within 14 days. We will not replace the chosen package, increase an accepted price or take payment for extras without your agreement. Keep the order emails and a saved or printed copy of these terms.

The actual kit

The UKSOL Duo 890 contains two 445W UKSOL panels, an 800W microinverter, British made steel ground frames, a 4 metre AC connection cable, a 2 metre DC cable, instructions, warning labels and the supplier tool kit. It is a ground installation kit. It is not offered for balcony or roof mounting. No battery is included. The 890Wp DC panel rating and 800W AC inverter rating describe different parts of the system. Generation depends on the location, daylight, shade and installation. No particular saving or output is guaranteed.

Prices and the fitted launch offer

  • Supply only / self fit: £1,359, including 20% VAT. Free delivery applies to mainland Scotland only, excluding the Highlands and Islands. Highlands and Islands delivery is quoted separately. Contact us before ordering for these areas so we can agree the delivery charge and full order total before payment. Ballast, fitting and electrical work are excluded.
  • Fitted with a suitable existing outdoor socket: £1,659. Includes the kit, ground fitting, ballast, electrical compatibility testing, commissioning and handover. No new socket or circuit is included.
  • Fitted including a new outdoor socket: £1,759. Includes the same work plus a new outdoor socket at the solar location, with an actual cable route of up to 2 metres from a suitable existing ring or radial socket circuit.

The fitted totals include 0% VAT where the complete residential installation qualifies. No separate postcode delivery fee applies to Thermal Care fitted packages. We normally plan to bring the kit to site for the installation and confirm the arrangements with you when booking the work. These are complete package prices for the agreed standard scope. The fitted package prices remain £1,659 and £1,759. They are based on the kit price before the £50 supply only delivery allowance, plus the agreed £350 or £450 fitting addition. They are complete package prices, not separate VAT calculations. If your installation does not qualify for the advertised VAT treatment, we will explain any revised total and give you the choice to accept it expressly or cancel for a full refund before work starts.

The fitted introductory offer covers the first five suitable residential homes in West Lothian, one kit per home, for 30 days from public launch. We confirm eligibility and allocation after ordering. If there is no place available at the advertised price, you may cancel for a full refund. We do not charge a higher price automatically.

Suitability and additional work

After a fitted order, we check the ground location, access, proposed connection, existing electrical protection and any existing solar or battery equipment. You must have the necessary property permission. We confirm the scope, appointment and applicable testing records before installation. We will not connect equipment where it is unsafe or incompatible. If the advertised package is unsuitable, you may cancel for a full refund before work starts.

Longer cable routes, new circuits, circuit alterations, remedial electrical work, foundations and specialist access are outside the standard package. We explain the findings and quote extra work separately for your express agreement. A survey or discussion does not authorise additional charges. Follow the equipment instructions and obtain competent electrical advice for supply only installations.

Delivery, delay and cancellation

This is a paid back order with an approximate two week supplier lead time, not a guaranteed home delivery date. Delivery will be confirmed after ordering and take place within 30 days unless you expressly agree a later date. Fitting is arranged separately. If delayed, you can choose to wait or cancel the undelivered order for a full refund. The delivery policy and returns and cancellation policy, including the cancellation form, form part of these terms.

Your rights and our responsibility

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything the law does not allow us to exclude. We remain responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of contract or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. Statutory rights in goods and services remain unaffected by the launch price, manufacturer warranty or any statement about estimated output.

Complaints and applicable law

Contact Thermal Care Renewables using the details above and include your order reference and the outcome you want. We will investigate and respond. Where a complaint remains unresolved, we will provide information about any applicable alternative dispute resolution body and whether we are required or willing to participate. Scottish law applies, but consumers elsewhere in the UK retain mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in their home courts where entitled to do so.

The version accepted with your order applies to that order. A later website update does not change an existing contract without agreement. Our privacy policy explains how personal information is used.
